Tai Chi Long Form
Students learn Master Wei Lun Huang's 108 movement classical Yang style Tai Chi Long Form. If you like the Yang short form you'll love the long form. Students will learn more incredible, graceful movements in this powerful long form. The rest of the work in mastering Tai Chi involves learning to use energy in each posture. Working with Chi, or energy, referred to as inner work, is what makes Tai Chi unique and what distinguishes it from the external forms of martial arts. Tai Chi is the integration and engagement of self defense, self knowledge, self conifdence and well being. The Long form expands on the origianal 13 movements. For the sake of learning, the long form is broken down into 3 sections. Altogether it takes about 30-35 minutes to perform depending on the tempo of your pratice. One can choose to work on one section at a time until familiar with all the moves and transitions strung together. This helps with the memorization of the movements and allows one to work on the finer details of balance, rooting and chi flow along the way. "...Tai Chi is like a great ocean -
Deep and calm but reserves immeasurable power" - Master Wei Lun Huang |
